10 Bookish Things Tag
It’s time for another book tag! This one I originally found
on RacheLeanne’s blog but that’s not where it originated. Anyway, lets get into
the questions!
How many books do you currently own?
So, this took a while. Luckily, I don’t own any online books
but I didn’t count any single comic books but I did count a couple of bind ups
as well as mangas. This also includes factual books so in total I have…... 172.Its
insane yes but it used to be more and a lot of em I need to read.
How many books are you currently reading?
Surprising to some I’m only reading two. They are
Me and Earl and The Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews. Its taking
me a while but hopefully I’ll have a review up in the next week or two.
Designing Costume for Stage and Screen by Deirdre Clancy.
Not trying to finish it for review or anything I just find it really interesting.
Choose a couple of books you read but didn’t
enjoy.
I really didn’t like All the Bright Places by Jennifer
Niven or Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green. In terms of manga one that
really dragged for me was Lone Wolf and Cub written by Kazuo Koike.
A cover buy.
A book you own but hate the cover of.
So, I asked for the collector’s edition of Opposition by
J.L. Armentrout in the paperback collector’s edition. I don’t think the
collector’s edition exists in paperback so I received this version, which while
I’m grateful for and love the series, hate the cover and it makes me want to
tear my eyes out.
A book you haven’t read in years?
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. I have no idea why I haven’t
reread it yet because I loved it and even forced someone else to read it. Need
to get back on it.
A book you will always recommend?
The graphic novel version of Miss Peregrine’s by Ransom
Riggs. It’s a really nice way to reread the book or just read the book if you aren’t
a big reader.
All time favourite book series?
It has to be the Harry Potter series. I have loved it since
I was a child and the world is unparalleled in my opinion.
Where do you read?
I mainly read in my room. Sometimes in the living room but I
find it really hard to read when commuting.
What are the last 2 books you gave a five
star review and why?
I don’t really do star reviews but two stand outs I’ve read
recently are
In fiction my reread of Obsidian by J L Armentrout really
sticks in my mind. It was just really fast paced and I struggled putting it
down.(side note just had a major freakout when I realised there were two books
from Daemon’s perspective and I hadn’t read them yet).
Nonfiction wise, From Prejudice to Pride by Amy Lamé was
one of my favourite books this year. It is about LGBT+ history and it really
educated me on the struggles and the journey the LGBT movement has had to go
through.
Do you agree? Am I completely wrong? Lemme know
See ya around
